V) PUBLIC DISCUSSION

The current CEO report indicates the "bike path" segment in Redondo is moving forward, but there is no information on the future of the path in Torrance.
However, the public should know that the "rendition" of the path shown on the BCHD website is clearly--intentionally?--misleading. The start of the path is shown as if the retaining wall will transition neatly to the Diamond curb, but that is clearly incorrect. The wall, at its SW end, is about 5 feet high while the "rendition" suggests something rather different. Can BCHD publish a better image of how the retaining wall will look from Diamond? Also, the actual wall as built turns 90 degrees to the west at its north end and runs uphill. Why? How does that benefit bikers?
Also, BCHD should clarify if the Metro grant for the path will cover new trees shown in the "rendition!
