BCHD continues to misrepresent the bond issue to the public.

The facts of the bond issue were well described by BCHD in https://www.dailybreeze.com/2024/05/08/beach-cities-health-district-considers-30m-bond-measure-for-youth-mental-health-center/

$8 million to tear down the current building.
$7 million to develop the open space that’d replace it.
$3 million to complete the allcove building.
$7 million to build parking and to connect the future allcove site to the main campus or green space.
$5 million for planning, architecture and engineering.

    To summarize the article:

allcove, the 91% non-resident service area that BCHD is REQUIRED to service for 30 years at an estimated Taxpayer cost of $175M will get $10M

$15M will be used to demolish and cleanup the mess from the hospital building that has a remaining 25 year life based on "best practices" per BCHD's Youssef engineers. Furthermore, BCHD has failed to even investigate the availability and cost of liability insurance beyond 2025. That $15M is a SUBSIDY to 100% private PMB LLC. PMB LLC agreed to demolish and create the 2 acres of space at NO COST TO TAXPAYERS. BCHD now wants to TAX the resident-taxpayers in order to provide an in-kind gift to PMB LLC

$5M is for more consultants. BCHD has already spent $14M on development consultants on the 80% to 95% non-resident Healthy Living Campus
